On February 2, 2025, the Kerala State Committee of the Radical Party of India (Ambedkarist) was officially announced during a meeting held at the Sagar Inn Hotel in Kochi.

Addressing the gathering, the National President praised Mr. Somanna as a great and committed leader. He noted that Mr. Somanna had previously served as the Karnataka State In-charge, where he successfully completed the formation of the state committee. With strong confidence in his leadership, the National President announced Mr. Somanna’s appointment as the Kerala State In-charge to oversee the development of the party in the region.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Somanna expressed his gratitude to the national leadership for their trust. He solemnly pledged in the name of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to fulfill his responsibilities by appointing a State President and a strong state committee in Kerala. He further stated that he would work full-time to carry out the instructions of Jwala Sir to strengthen the party.
